  • Thomas Douglas has been practicing architecture since 1980, working on a variety of residential and commercial projects. He has design experience with theaters, restaurants, multi family housing, and commercial developments. He has worked extensively in the Northampton and Amherst area participating in the renovation of many local landmark buildings.

  • Daniel Bonham has been practicing architecture since 2001, sustainable design and development is a top priority in every building he works on. He has design experience in a variety of residential and commercial projects, including libraries, restaurants, historic landmarks, mixed use and residential developments. He has worked in Boston and the Pioneer Valley, designing projects in the United States and abroad.

  • Shoshannah has been designing and selecting interior finishes for commercial, hospitality and residential projects with Bonham & Douglas since 2009. She works closely with the architects in our firm, discussing with the client their desires, and developing a design direction that is both tailored to the individual needs of the space and the client’s aesthetic desires, creating a perfect combination of materials to form a comprehensive, dynamic and inviting space.

    She comes to Interior Design from an artists background, having owned a hand bookbinding studio and run a product design consulting firm. This has given her a deep appreciation of materials, textures, colors and how to create beautiful products and spaces.

  • Scott has worked in residential and commercial design since 2012, joining Bonham & Douglas in 2015.  He has experience with commercial and residential design with a focus on sustainable design, with projects across the northeast.  Before changing careers to architecture, Scott spent 20 years with non-profit and higher education organizations. 

  • Samantha began practicing architecture in 2002 and spent the early part of her career living and working in Philadelphia, PA. There she worked for several firms on a variety of project types including university campus buildings, museum and cultural buildings, hospitals, civic and emergency service buildings, and private residences.

    She joined Thomas Douglas Architects in 2017 where she gets to put her interest in historic building practices and preservation to good use and enjoys the wide variety of projects that the office attracts.

  • Jon has been working in design and construction for years. His career started in theater and film set design, which eventually led to carpentry work and a number of home renovations. Jon has worked on residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. He enjoys using details, materials and spatial planning to create meaningful building user experiences. He has a masters degree in architecture from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and is a Certified Passive House Builder.  Jon enjoys making music, gardening and living in the valley.

  • Due to her love of fine details and hands-on work, Sam pursued a career in custom furniture production and design in Philadelphia, after growing up in Williamstown, MA. She then returned to Western Massachusetts and managed a custom metalwork shop for several years. She is excited about architecture as a tool to engage with and enhance the local community. Sam brings with her a longstanding passion for historic preservation.

  • Born and raised in southern New Hampshire, Rheanna recently received her BFA in Interior Design from Endicott College with a focus on Interior Architecture. Since joining Thomas Douglas Architects in the Spring of 2022, Rheanna has expanded her focus into the realm of architecture, bringing an eye for design and strong material sensibilities to historic preservation and hospitality projects.

  • Noelle is passionate about the intersection of quality design, artistic expression, and sustainable construction methodologies. This led her to pursue a college major in architecture + urban design and dual minors in studio arts and environmental science. She has a diverse professional background: she has worked for environmental startups and in retail window display design and has experience designing residential projects, both new construction and renovations. Noelle grew up in Northampton and is thrilled to be working with a firm that strives to preserve, adapt, and build for a town that is both proud of its history and ever-changing. She enjoys working on projects that foster the well-being of the community, from performance arts centers to residential dwellings, and is looking forward to sharpening her skills alongside designers who prioritize the delicate balance of fine form and functionality.

  • Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, Abby is a passionate architecture student with a strong interest in sustainable design and residential projects. Currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a minor in Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she is set to graduate in the spring of 2025. Abby has developed a solid foundation in architectural principles and is enjoying gaining hands-on experience collaborating with industry professionals, and contributing to projects that prioritize sustainability and thoughtful design.
