Arts Trust

Home for the arts.

The new building for the Arts Trust unifies five local community art organizations under one roof, fostering collaboration and a shared sense of purpose. This innovative building offers classrooms, rehearsal studios, and gallery areas, complemented by two expansive performance venues. With an integration of indoor and outdoor performance and gathering areas, the venue serves as a versatile canvas for artistic expression and creative pursuits of all kinds.

Urban Renewal.

Once an unassuming lumber yard, this space has been reimagined as the hub for the local arts community. Locally sourced materials give the space a sense of place. Designed for the community, the space is a welcoming environment for artists and performers of all ages, fostering creativity and connection across generations.

Interaction at all levels.

The design features a grand, three-story communal lobby that is the heart of the building, linking the seven main rooms. This central gathering space fosters a sense of unity and flow and invites social interaction before and after events or classes. The open staircase connects the mezzanine to the basement, enhancing the building's vertical circulation and reinforcing the architectural dialogue between levels.
