Iron Horse
A Cultural Landmark Reborn.
After the Iron Horse closed at the start of the pandemic, the new owners sought to create a revitalized space, incorporating a new bar space within the expanded seating. Bonham & Douglas was tasked with maintaining the character while completely modernizing and updating the performance space and restaurant that had been an important keystone music venue in downtown Northampton. Renovating and expanding the venue into the adjacent storefront gave an opportunity to activate the street and space in a new way.
Urban Renewal.
The revitalized venue brings new life to a central side street by reintroducing and expanding this vibrant nightlife destination, bringing back a cherished, informal music venue that caters to a wide range of audiences.
Glowing Night Spot.
The new bar is illuminated with custom lighting and backlit elements that are visible from the street. The music venue features updated signage, new seating, and enhanced comfort for music enthusiasts. The expanded space also includes newly designed bathrooms to accommodate all guests.
