Smith College Gillette House

Beauty and Function.

Bonham & Douglas collaborated closely with Dining Services and the students of Gillette House to craft a fresh yet classic color scheme that breathes new life into the space. The design thoughtfully incorporates a variety of seating options for flexibility and comfort for all users. The redesign enhances the aesthetic appeal and significantly improves the functionality of the space, making it more efficient and user-friendly for staff members and students.

Design for Resources.

The renovation introduces a variety of seating options, thoughtfully designed to cater to diverse needs while fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Energy-efficient light fixtures, both decorative and cozy, play a dual role in defining the different zones of the Dining Hall, adding warmth and character to each area. The selection of fabrics and flooring materials balance beauty with durability to ensure they withstand the demands of a high-traffic environment for years to come. This renovation has crafted a cohesive aesthetic that seamlessly aligns with the school's existing style, elevating the overall dining experience.
